Hydrogen Funding Campaign

AN AUSTRALIAN hydrogen company has launched a crowd-funding campaign to get its Tasmanian project which aims to ease out diesel off the ground.

LINE Hydrogen says it is set to revolutionise Australia's energy sector by generating and distributing cost-effective, 100 per cent renewable commercial-scale green hydrogen.

It has now launched a crowd-funding campaign to get investors on board. The community support will add to the $5m in funding that Labor pledged to LINE as part of their Tasmanian funding initiatives.

Labor leader Anthony Albanese last week said hydrogen had enormous potential and over time LINE could build at least five hydrogen refuelling stations in Tasmania.

Based alongside the Bell Bay Solar Farm in Tasmania, LINE Hydrogen plans to be producing green hydrogen from early next year.

Rather than burning fossil fuels and releasing carbon di- oxide and other pollutants into the atmosphere, LINE Hydrogen will produce green hydrogen using a process called electrolysis, from which the only by-products are drinking water and medical-grade oxygen.
