We are at the threshold of a global change. LINE Hydrogen will be a game-changer in energy production by delivering cost effective clean, green renewable hydrogen with multiple end uses.
LINE Hydrogen is taking a different approach to large scale hydrogen production and distribution than previously experienced in Australia.
Our objectives are to build the pathways to cost effective large-scale hydrogen production, and to identify areas where future development efforts have the opportunity for the greatest impact in terms of capital cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
LINE Hydrogen seeks to simplify hydrogen and its production processes, and focus on closing the loop between the producers and the end‑users. By recognizing the links between the components of the business, including solar generation, hydrogen processing and end user opportunities.
LINE Hydrogen takes the next step toward realising an economically viable alternative fuel source.
Near term, cost effective Green Hydrogen production is not only needed. It is achieveable now.
Our Strategy
LINE Hydrogen is delivering a vertically integrated solution for domestic green hydrogen, delivering a beginning-to-end strategy for large-scale hydrogen production, distribution and end-use. LINE Hydrogen will combine these aspects with the aim of delivering large-scale production capacity in regional areas across Australia, with a particular focus to deliver green hydrogen into the heavy transport and mining industries.
Renewable energy is key to the production of green hydrogen. The process is uncomplicated and can be summarised as follows:
Renewable sources (in this case solar and/or wind) generates energy;
The hydrogen production process is done on-site or nearby;
Once the hydrogen is separated, it is stored in pressurised tanks for end-use;
Stored hydrogen can be used for vehicle refueling and other opportunities;
The only by-products are heat and water – the water is pure drinking water.
LINE Hydrogen brings together manufacturing, production and end-use in a complete functional solution to launch the domestic hydrogen industry in Australia.
Our strategy will challenge the status quo, and change the game by providing green hydrogen and domestically manufactured equipment, necessary to replace diesel as the fuel source for heavy transport, heavy industry, and mining in Australia .
A market challenging approach towards delivering and supporting a viable hydrogen industry in Australia.
Our Expertise
After years of research and investigation into the hydrogen production processes, Brendan James, Founder and Chairman, was increasingly frustrated by the very high barriers to entry, including high capital costs.
Determined to make the hydrogen economy dream a reality, Brendan utilised his expertise in complex metallurgical engineering design and precious metals processing to develop and implement an Australian based manufacturing and production plan for hydrogen equipment to drive down unit costs and deliver fundamental changes to the energy system.
This strategy was borne from Brendan’s experiences and proven track record in base and precious metals mining and processing throughout Australia and internationally.
The LINE Hydrogen team has decades of collective experience in large-scale continuous commodity production, engineering, major project management and logistics. We are applying our knowhow from large-scale base metals electrolysis production and optimisation to low-cost hydrogen energy design, production and distribution.
We take projects from the initial concepts through to detailed operational design and construction. As part of these projects we also develop and implement strategies for energy production to run and maintain the processing plants and operational requirements. Our team’s expertise and experience underpins our success.
